Taos is a one-of-a-kind, mystical, magical world. With uniquely New-Mexican architecture, incredible Southwestern cuisine, and tons of outdoor activities and incredible art & shopping, Taos really has it all in my book.

Places to Stay

El Monte Sagrado - incredible property and hotel, close enough to Taos Plaza. Also worth checking out for drinks/ dinner/ spa, or just wandering the grounds if you aren’t staying there.

Airbnb’s - lots of cute airbnbs around!

Places to Eat

Alley Cantina - no exaggeration, the BEST enchiladas we have ever had. Casual, high value spot. Highly recommend.

The Burger Stand - Great selection of burgers and tons of fun/ awesome sauces.

Michael’s Kitchen and Bakery - must visit for breakfast. Get there early to avoid the line. Get the cinnamon roll that is twice as big as my hand.

La Cueva Cafe - historic classic, frequently with a line to get in. Amazing value.

Farmhouse Cafe and Bakery - incredible property with a mountain view, great for hanging out for a bit.

Medley - amazing view, food and cocktails just a little bit outside of town.

Bearclaw Bakery & Cafe - amazing pastries

Places to Shop

People of the Valley - heavenly store with amazing selection of vintage and modern clothes, accessories and jewelry. Beautifully curated.

Atcitty’s On Taos Plaza - Native American owned jewelry store.

Cinnamon’s Botanicals - amazing apothecary where the fabulous owner will help you pick out a variety of herbs, many locally grown.

Reneux - One of the best consignment shops I have ever been to! Amazing selection, including contemporary and vintage pieces.

+Plus tons and tons of other amazing stores located on or around the Taos plaza.

Places to Visit

Taos Ski Valley & Resort - The only certified B Corporation ski resort - they’re doing tons of updates and it’s all beautiful! Plus, a great drive from Taos.

Arroyo Seco - cute town between Taos and Taos Ski Village

The Rio Grande Bridge (at sunrise!)

Hike to Williams Lake - from the Taos Ski Village, beautiful hike to an amazing mountain-top lake, follow this with lunch/ drinks at The Bavarian House.

Taos Pueblo - historic, fascinating site.
