Mexico
My mamacita was born and raised in Mexico City, and all of our family still lives in Mexico. My Grandmother was from Guanajuato, and Grandfather was from Tabasco. When I was younger, my grandparents moved to Cuernavaca, and I have many fond memories there. Oaxaca, Chiapas, the Yucatan, the Western Coast, Baja, there are soooo many places in Mexico that I have fallen in love with! Not to mention the absolute vibrancy of the colors, the food, and of course, the people. Below are just some of my picks for this incredible country. 28 years later and I'm still just scratching the surface :)
Mexico City-
My aunt has always lived in Coyoacan, and my dad used to live in La Condesa. Nothing better than walking around these neighborhoods, eating esquites, and just finding inspiration everywhere.
Cuernavaca-
Mueseo Casa Brady -- my life's dream embodied in a home- full of global art, culture, colors, patterns, history, and memories. Robert Brady was an astounding artist, collector, and person. #HomeGoals
Las Manantias -- my parents had one of their first dates here many years ago, and it was always a wonderful place to celebrate birthdays and special occasions.
Palacio de Cortes -- amazingly well done museum showcasing the history and art of Mexico's many cultures.
Tepotzlan - pueblo magico/ magic town. Reminds me of Telluride in Mexico. Wander, eat, and enjoy the good vibes.
The Yucatan- I recently visited Tulum, Chichen Itza, Merida, and Campeche, and had amazing experiences in each destination.
